Paws

In some families, there is a golden child.  In our family, the golden child is the golden retriever.  Named Paws in attribute to her large feet, she was become an important member of the family.

It didn’t take long for my mom to find a combo that fit me well.  Painting with a Twist was having a “Paint your Pet” night.  She thought it was be nice for us to spend an evening together attempt painting of our beloved dog.

Melanie Brennan was our teacher, and later my creative mentor.  She allowed me to join the group, despite my young age.  Many of the people that came brought wine and were celebrating something special.  At the end, they all accepted me in the group and even gave a toast at the end, “To Ethan”.
